John Robertson

Principal

Over the last thirty years, John Robertson has built over a hundred custom homes and additions in the Richmond area – each one different from the last. John is passionate about working with his clients throughout the construction process and beyond to deliver a home that achieves their vision and meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

John’s projects have been featured in Southern Living and Traditional Homes magazines and several have been on the Virginia Historical Garden Tour. One of John’s development projects, Carrington Court, received the annual Preservation Merit Award from Henrico County. John also played a key role in the development of Maple Green in Richmond’s Near West End. He has been featured in Remodeling Magazine and was a panelist at their Remodel 500 conference. Most recently, one of John’s projects won the Homebuilding Association of Richmond’s RARE Award for Best Kitchen over $100,000.

John has a Class A Residential and Commercial contractor’s license. He is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the NAHB Remodeler Council. He is a NAHB Certified Age in Place Specialist (CAPS) and is a board member and past chairman of Senior Connections where he worked with United Way develop their Regional Age Wave Plan. John is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA) and the Darden School of Business (MBA).

Tommy Robertson

Associate

Tommy worked with John building custom homes from 2006 to 2008 and joined the HomeKeepers team in 2013. He is responsible for all aspects of project development, including client relations, estimating, budgeting, and management. Tommy attended Collegiate School and has degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and Washington and Lee School of Law.

Bob Wilkerson

Project Manager

Bob has been with HomeKeepers since the beginning and has managed new construction, additions, and renovations with John since 2005. With years of experience as a framer, carpenter, woodworker. Bob also has a deep knowledge of electrical systems from his days as the owner of an electrical supply company in upstate New York. In addition to his project management duties, Bob works with many of our renovation and addition clients on conceptual planning.

Libby George

Office Manager

Libby is the first voice you’ll hear when you call us – she’s one of the secrets to our success. Libby has helped John with everything from client support to bookkeeping since 2003. When it comes to HomeKeepers headquarters, Libby does it all. She previously owned and operated a customer service consulting firm and worked in various customer service and supervisory roles at AT&T.
